Althoght it sounds like a savory chocolate, this is in fact quite sweet. Tomatoes are fruits and become sweet, especially when sun dried. Sun-dried tomatoes are ripe tomatoes that are placed in the sun to remove most of the water content from the tomatoes. After the procedure, the tomato fruits will keep their nutritional value.
