Catalonian crème brûlée

Crema catalana

British shares the Spanish love for custard-based dessert and there is something particularly comforting about eating this catalan version with it's crunchy burnt caramel topping. The first reference of Crema catalana was written in the Llibre de Sent Soví (1324).
