Baked aubergine, goat's cheese with paprika and toffee.

Berenjena asada, queso de cabra al pimentón y tofe
In the medieval cuisine, the separation between savory and sweet dishes was really small. A good example of it was the Blancmanger, also know as Shape, (In Spanish Manjar Blanco) which is a dessert commonly made with almonds, sugar and chic ken breast, and it was popular from the early 12th century to the Renaissance. Coming back to the 21st century, some of the new recipes are hardly inspired in this trend; like the posted pintxo made with savory aubergine and cheese with sickly sweet toffee
